Another local addition to SU’s Class of 2025
The Syracuse Orange recruiting spree still hasn’t stopped as another local product made his intentions known shortly after attending the Spring Game on Saturday. Christian Brothers Academy WR/TE Daunte Bacheyie is the 17th prospect from the Class of 2025 to verbally commit to Fran Brown’s program:
After a lot of prayer and conversations with my family and coaches, I am very excited to announce that I am committed to Syracuse University. Thank you to my friends and everyone who supported me along the way! @FranBrownCuse @CoachNixon_Cuse @WRCoachmj @CuseFootball pic.twitter.com/KBhLZcNcWT

Bacheyie was one of the CBA players previously offered under Dino Babers. After being re-offered by Brown and having conversations with OC Jeff Nixon and TEs Coach Mike Johnson, he’ll be staying close to home.
“All of the talks I had with all of the coaches went great,” Bacheyie told 247’s Mike McAllister. They asked me how I like the changes that they have made and where they see me as a player in their offense.”
Four of SU’s 2025 recruits hail from the region: Bacheyie plays alongside Darien Williams and Matthew Hawn on the defending state-champion Brothers, and against Cicero-North’s Kardiear Shepherd.
The 6’5”, 195 lbs. combo receiver also had offers from Boston College, Buffalo, Fordham, and Pitt. He is currently unrated by the major recruiting sites.
