The Buffalo Bills have met with a prospect at the 2022 NFL combine that can be described in one way: Big.
Defensive lineman Jordan Davis from Georgia clocks in at 6-foot-6 and 340 pounds. Talk about a space eater on the defensive line.
Davis told reporters via press conference that he met with the Bills during the combine, according to the Buffalo News.
Thanks to his size, Davis is viewed primarily as a run stopper in the NFL.
However, some consider Davis a nose tackle at the next level in a 3-4 scheme. Could he translate to a 4-3 defense like the Bills run?
Not only will that factor in for Buffalo, so will free agency in terms of selecting Davis.
Currently the Bills have Harrison Phillips as one of their top pending free agents. If Phillips eventually re-signs in Buffalo, there’s a chance that defensive tackle would not be on the Bills’ radar early in the draft… specifically regarding one such as Davis since Phillips plays a space-eating role for the Bills on their defensive line.
Most, including Pro Football Focus, consider Davis as a late first-round to early second-round pick.
