BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The NHL trade deadline is Friday, March 7 at 3 p.m. You will be able to track any moves the Sabres make this week in the feed below.
The Sabres are 24-29-5 on the season, last in both the Atlantic Division and Eastern Conference. They sit 13 points out of a playoff spot and would have to pass eight teams in 24 games to get there. They’d need to earn 41 of a possible 56 points (.732) just to make it to 90, which still might not be enough to get in.
With that in mind, the Sabres’ pending unrestricted free agents could be on the move – and other promising young talent could be in demand. Their list of UFAs includes forwards Jason Zucker, Jordan Greenway and Nicolas Aube-Kubel (currently in AHL); defensemen Henri Jokiharju, Jacob Bryson and Dennis Gilbert; and goaltender James Reimer.
