TE Harold Fannin Jr.

Elevator Pitch:
Fannin’s ascent was one of the more fascinating stories of 2024, as he went from a MAC novelty to a legitimate NFL Draft prospect in three seasons. Starting his career as a true freshman backup to eventual NFL contributor Christian Sims in 2022, Fannin would start eight of his 11 appearances in 2023, finishing first in the MAC amongst tight ends in receptions (44), receiving yards (623) and touchdowns (six), while also ranking second in the NCAA in yards-after-catch (406) to future first-round NFL pick Brock Bowers and earning the highest PFF grades at his position both for overall play and route-running.
2024 was his breakout campaign, notching 100+ yards against Penn State (137) and Texas A&M (145) on the road to launch what would become a four-game streak of 100+ yard performances. (He would finish with seven such games in 13 appearances, including a 213-yard performance in his swan song game against South Alabama.) Fannin became the first tight end in NCAA history to lead the NCAA in receptions (117) and receiving yards (1,555) in a single season and also hauled in 10 touchdowns, eventually becoming BGSU’s first-ever consensus All-American and the MAC’s Offensive Player of the Year. He was subsequently invited to the Senior Bowl and NFL Combine, where he will see interest both as a slot TE and H-back/fullback.
Fannin graduates with 21 program record and a career tally of 180 receptions for 2,396 yards and 17 touchdowns, with an additional five rushing touchdowns— four of which were in 2022 as a primary fullback.
