Florida State hasn’t had much to be happy about this season. Things just haven’t gone the Seminoles’ way.
Head coach Willie Taggart has received his fair share of criticism over the past year. But on Saturday against Syracuse, his Seminoles are playing well – and drawing up some crazy plays.
Late in the second quarter, QB Alex Hornibrook tossed a pass out to the far sideline for what looked to be a bubble-screen. The receiver then looks back to Hornibrook, wanting to pass the ball back. But a few defenders get in the way.
The receiver stays on his feet though and eventually throws the ball back to Hornibrook. The FSU QB avoids a tackle and then throws the ball to a Tamorrion Terry, who’s just a few yards beyond the line of scrimmage.
Terry uses his speed to out-race a few Syracuse defenders, taking the ball about 55 yards. The play went from near-disaster to a home-run in a matter of seconds.

Florida State proceeded to score a touchdown following the trick-play.
It’s turning out to be a big day for the Seminoles, who currently hold a 28-3 lead early in the third quarter. A win would move Florida State to 4-4.
