Each Spring, college football fans get together and take out their rivals in an off-field competition- The Every Day Should Be Saturday (EDSBS) Charity Bowl.
Last year Syracuse Orange fans stepped up huge and pushed Syracuse to a 14th place finish, the highest we’ve seen from the Harvard of Central New York.
For those who aren’t familiar with the EDSBS Charity Bowl, it’s an opportunity to prove that schools are better than their rivals while benefiting the New American Pathways programs for refugees.
Brought to you by the good folks behind the Shutdown Fullcast podcast, it’s a chance to take the passion of college football and channel it into something good. Here are some of the pertinent details from the EDSBS Charity Bowl website:
Refugee resettlement is a vital lifeline for individuals forced to flee persecution and conflict, offering them a chance to rebuild their lives in safety and dignity. Never has there been a time, since the landmark U.S. Refugee Act was enacted on March 17, 1980, that we must stand together to defend and support this important and lifesaving legacy.
New American Pathways will continue to use all of the resources we have at our disposal to support and serve those in our care. The EDSBS Charity Bowl kicks off on Monday, April 14th and will run through Friday, April 18th.
Donate to New American Pathways in the name of your favorite college football team to climb to the top of the leaderboard and win bragging rights as the most generous team in the nation. The game is the same as it’s always been: make a donation in the name of your school or team. That donation should take the form of the score of a victory by your morally superior and physically better team over a depraved, uncharitable and weaker rival. Ways to contribute:
