Syracuse women’s rowing: Orange place 12th in NCAA Rowing National Championship

The Orange tie their second-highest finish in the NCAA Championship with 12th.

The Syracuse Orange women’s rowing squad finished 12th overall at the 2025 NCAA Championships, with a total of 67 points. The competition was held at Lake Mercer in West Windsor, New Jersey last weekend.

The boats that competed for the Orange were the varsity eight, the second varsity eight, and the varsity four. The varsity eight raced first, claiming victory in the C level final and finishing 13th overall (6:22.937).

Next was the second varsity eight, who finished sixth in the petite final and 12th overall with a time of 6:32.632, tying a second-best for the second varsity eight in program history. Tennessee took the top spot in the heat, finishing in 6:24.586.

The varsity four finished second in the petite final, and eighth overall, with a time of 7:10.499. California won the heat, crossing the finish line in 7:06.197.

Stanford took the team title, amassing a total of 129 points. Trailing the Cardinal were Yale (121 points) and Texas (118 points). Stanford also achieved their first ACC Title a few weeks prior at the ACC Rowing Championships, where Syracuse placed third.
