Can the Orange snap its all-time winless streak versus the Tigers?
The ACC/SEC Women’s Basketball Challenge is back for its third year, and the Syracuse Orange women’s basketball team now knows which team it will be competing against this season.
The Orange will be hosting the Auburn Tigers in the JMA Wireless Dome as part of this year’s ACC/SEC Challenge.
The game will be taking place on Wednesday, December 3rd. The ACC says tip-off times and network will both be announced at a later date.
Syracuse is 1-1 all-time in the ACC/SEC Challenge, which first began in the 2023 season. The Orange beat the Alabama Crimson Tide at home two years ago and last season lost on the road to Texas A&M Aggies.

The Orange will be looking to buck the historical trend in the all-time series. Syracuse is 0-5 all-time versus Auburn dating back to the 1987-88 season. The program last played the Tigers in 2004, losing 48-35 in Manley Field House.
Syracuse is 0-2 at home versus Auburn, but this will be the first time the Orange will face the Tigers in the JMA Wireless Dome.
Auburn finished 12-18 overall and 3-13 versus the SEC in 2024-25. The Tigers will be led by first-year head coach Larry Vickers, who previously coached at Norfolk State.
