The two schools split the regular season series
The Syracuse Orange women’s basketball team opens ACC Tournament play this afternoon at 1:00 on the ACC Network.
#13 Syracuse will take on #12 Boston College for the second time in the last week with the winner moving on to face #5 North Carolina tomorrow morning at 11:00 am. Syracuse dismantled BC 82-57 on Sunday at the JMA Dome and will now have to try and avoid a letdown today.
BC won the first meeting 92-51 in a game where Syracuse played without Georgia Woolley. The Eagles jumped all over the Orange in that one, running out to a 32-9 lead after the first quarter and pouring it on the rest of the way.
Syracuse used a balanced offense in Sunday’s win and showed off their ball movement with 20 assists and a defense that held the Eagles to 20 first half points. BC played that game without leading scorer T’yana Todd. Todd is shooting over 46% from 3 this season, so there’s no question that BC missed that offense on Sunday. We don’t know if Todd will be active for today’s game.
