More size for the Orange
The Syracuse Orange women’s basketball came into the off-season needing to replace their frontcourt and they have added one last piece to the 25-26 roster.
Center Izoje Uche has been officially announced as joining the roster.
We are excited to *officially* welcome Izoje Uche as our final addition for the 2025-26 season.
The 6-3 freshman joins us from Japan where she has played and studied the last few years. Originally from Nigeria, Izoje will make an immediate impact on our front court. pic.twitter.com/9bnPTzq2aM

The 6’3” Uche is originally from Nigeria, but has been playing professionally in Japan for the Chanson V-Magic and is the player rumored about a couple of months ago. Uche is 20 years old and was rookie of the year in her 1st season in Japan.
She will combine with Auburn transfer Oyindamola Akinbolawa and Miami transfer Aurora Almon on the interior. Here’s a look at Uche in action for Chanson.
