Nelson was named Connecticut’s Gatorade Girl’s Basketball Player of the Year. She was also a 2025 McDonald’s All-American Game nominee, with fellow incoming Orange Jasmyn Cooper.
2025 projections:
Nelson will likely serve as a floor-spacing, outside threat for this Syracuse squad. According to scouting reports, she is quick, can read the defense, and can shot-create for herself and others.
How’d she get here?:
The Connecticut native also received offers from Villanova, Manhattan, and Monmouth, before ultimately committing to ‘Cuse last winter.

Nelson enters the 315 as a four-star recruit, and was ranked the 91st best player in the 2025 recruiting class.
