
Iaunia Porter ends season with three straight school record runs
The 24-25 Syracuse Orange athletic season came to a conclusion in Eugene, Oregon at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
For the third-straight race, Iaunia Pointer set a new Syracuse record in the 200m dash. Pointer ran a time of 22.89 in the 200m semifinals. This was good enough for 15th place in the event and was an improvement of 0.2 seconds since the ACC Championships. Iaunia received second-team All-America honors.

In the men’s 10,000m run, Sam Lawler ended his strong season by finishing 21st in a time of 29:31. Lawler earns Honorable Mention All-American honors to round out his successful 24-25 campaign. Sam set the Syracuse record in the 10,000 and earned All-American honors in cross-country and outdoor. He’ll be back next season to lead the Orange distance squad.
