The Syracuse Orange men’s rowing team wrapped up their 2025 season by out-performing expectations with a 6th-place finish in the team scoring at the IRA Regatta.
The Orange had all four boats advance to the Grand Final for the first time and had their best placing in the Ten Eyck Trophy competition. Washington took home the title with 285 points to finish ahead of Harvard (279), Cal (244), Brown (238), Princeton (237) and Syracuse (232).
Here were the Orange placements by boat:
V8- 6th place
2V8- 5th place
3V8- 6th place
V4- 5th place
Heading into the weekend, Syracuse’s V8 boat was ranked 11th in the polls so the 6th place finish was a surprise. The Orange were also one of three schools to advance all four boats to Grand Final joining Washington and Harvard.
This is the third-straight top-team team finish for the men and a strong close to the 2025 Orange.
