This week we continue to look back on the 24-25 athletics year and get your input. This week we’re focusing on individual athletes. Who was the top Syracuse female athlete of 24-25? Here are your four choices:
- Allie Kelley (Ice Hockey)- set the NCAA career saves record
- Iaunia Pointer (Track)- set the Syracuse school record in the 200m while qualifying for NCAA Championships
- Emma Muchnick (Lacrosse)- led the Orange in goals and was First-Team All-ACC and named an All-American
- Ellie-Kate Hutchinson (Rowing)- named First-Team All-ACC. Helped lead V8 boat to a 13th place finish at the NCAA Championships
Who was the top Syracuse male athlete of 24-25?
- Sam Lawler (XC/Track)- set school record in 10k outdoors. Finished 28th at NCAA XC Championships
- Kyle McCord (Football)- led the nation in passing yards, setting an ACC record. Set school records in completions, passing yards, touchdown passes and total offense.
- Jimmy McCool (Lacrosse)- named ACC Goalie of the Year. Helped lead Orange back to Final Four
- Jack Gorman (Rowing)- Soladay Award winner. Helped lead V8 boat to 6th place finish at the IRA Championships
