W. Rowing

The #10 Orange took second last weekend in the Cayuga Cup against #6 Yale and Cornell. It was Yale which swept the V8 races

Syracuse won’t have it easier this weekend when they head to California to face #2 Stanford and #8 California.

Tennis (8-9, 1-9)

Syracuse continues to struggle in ACC play. dropping matches to Virginia Tech (4-3) and Virginia (4-1) last weekend. Serafima Shastova won singles matches on both days, but it wasn’t enough for the Orange to break their ACC losing streak.

Syracuse will travel to Louisville and Notre Dame this week.

Track and Field

According to online records, Sam Lawler appears to have set a Syracuse record in the 10,000m with his 28:21 which is below the listed record of 28:24 set by Perry Mackinnon. Lawler was 21st over at Stanford, but his time ranks in the ACC’s top 10 this season.

For the Orange women, three runners put up top-10 ACC times led by Emma Eastman’s 32:47. Eastman was followed by Rylie Lusk (33:13) and Savannah Roark (33:22).

Syracuse will compete at Duke and a pair of meets in Rhode Island this weekend.
