Two teams are off to better seasons already in 2024

The Syracuse Orange athletics season is in full swing so we are back with these weekly recaps as we look to broaden our coverage of the Olympic sports.

Field Hockey (2-1, 0-0)

The Orange had a rough home opener as they fell 5-0 to Ohio State. Syracuse will try and rebound next weekend

Syracuse returns home to face #14 Ohio State next Sunday afternoon.

Women’s Soccer (6-1-1, 0-0)

Two clean sheets for the Orange as they swept Binghamton (1-0) and St. Bonaventure (3-0). Ashley Rauch, Kate Murphy, Vita Naihin and Erin Fleury were the goal scorers for Syracuse, which has now out-scored opponents 16-3 on the season.

It was another great weekend for the Orange as they swept Columbia, Fordham and Manhattan, dropping only two sets in the three matches. Ava Palm leads the Orange with 82 kills so far this season. Skylar George and Mira Ledermuller led Syracuse in digs and assists.
