That’s the top number in the country right there.
As they prepare for their NCAA Tournament quarterfinal matchup with the 3-seed Princeton Tigers on Saturday, eight members of the Syracuse Orange earned All-American honors from Inside Lacrosse on Wednesday.
Sammy English led the way for ‘Cuse as the Orange’s sole First Team selection, while Joey Spallina, Michael Leo and Johnny Mullen were all named to the Second Team. No one made the Third Team, and Owen Hiltz, Carter Rice, Billy Dwan and Jimmy McCool all earned Honorable Mention recognition.
Postseason Honors continue.

The Orange’s eight selections are tied for the most in the country with…Princeton. Cornell was next with seven, led by CJ Kirst as the only unanimous First Team selection. Maryland, Notre Dame, Duke and Army were all tied with six selections each.
The Inside Lacrosse All-Americans are voted on by members of the media who cover the sport.
The eight All-Americans and the Orange head down to Hofstra for their quarterfinal matchup with Princeton this Saturday at 2:30 PM on ESPN U, following the first quarterfinal of the day between Cornell and Richmond.
