‘Cuse earned themselves one final home game next weekend thanks to their performance in the ACC Tournament.

On the heels of their ACC Tournament title on Sunday afternoon, the Syracuse Orange capped their amazing weekend by earning themselves a home game for next weekend.

‘Cuse earned the No. 6 seed and a matchup with the Harvard Crimson in the NCAA Tournament First Round on Sunday at 5 PM.

This will be the second time this season that the Orange and Crimson will meet in the JMA Dome after Harvard upset SU, 15-14, in their regular season meeting on February 22. In that game, ‘Cuse jumped out to a 5-0 lead and won 28-of-32 face-offs but failed to do enough with their possession and lost. They’ll be looking for some revenge to kick off their NCAA Tournament.

Harvard has gone 10-4 this season, finishing third in the Ivy League. They lost to Princeton in the Ivy semifinals on Friday, and were the final at-large team into the tournament, beating out Army for the final spot.

The Orange enter the tournament suddenly playing their best lacrosse of the season after their weekend defeating Notre Dame and Duke to win their third ACC Tournament Championship and their first since 2016. They’ve finally got a fully healthy Finn Thomson back in the lineup, and Johnny Mullen and Jimmy McCool are both on fire at the perfect time. McCool was named MVP of the ACC Tournament.
