Syracuse’s non-conference schedule is nearly complete.

The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball program has scheduled a pair of non-conference meetings with Hofstra and Monmouth, per Syracuse Athletics.

Monmouth will play Syracuse on Tuesday, November 18 inside the JMA Wireless Dome while Hofstra will meet Syracuse on Saturday, December 13 inside the JMA Wireless Dome.

Syracuse is 3-0 all-time versus both Hofstra and Monmouth. The Orange most recently met Hofstra in 2006, while Monmouth came to Syracuse as recently as 2022. All meetings with the Pride and the Hawks have come from the dome.

Hofstra finished 15-18 overall and 6-12 in the Colonial Athletic Association last season. Head coach Speedy Claxton has guided the Pride to three 20-win campaigns in his four seasons at Hofstra. Former Orange guard Jaquan Carlos played on all three of those 20-win teams.

Monmouth finished 13-20 overall and 10-8 in the Coastal Athletic Association last season. Head coach King Rice is originally from Binghamton, New York. His staff includes former Syracuse assistant coach Rick Callahan.

Syracuse is scheduled to play five of its known non-conference games on neutral courts this season. The ACC has moved to an 18-game league schedule starting this year. Syracuse will play those two additional games as part of its non-conference schedule. The Orange has just three remaining slots open in its non-conference schedule.
