Get ready for some Bearcats and Dragons.

Syracuse Orange men’s basketball fans got a decent chunk of scheduling news to wrap up the week, with the team officially locking in two games against a pair of programs from the Northeast.

The Orange will be playing Binghamton at home in the 2025-26 season. Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports was the first to report. Syracuse will also be facing Drexel in a neutral-site game in Philadelphia, according to Rocco Miller of The Bracketeer.

Starting with Binghamton, Syracuse is 5-0 all-time versus the Bearcats dating back to November 2001, all of those matchups being in the Dome. The Orange last played Binghamton in the 2013-14. The team has beaten the Bearcats in those five games by at least 21 points.

Binghamton finished 15-17 overall and 7-9 in the America East Conference. It remains unconfirmed when this game will be.

NEWS: Agreements are being finalized for a doubleheader of neutral-site games on Saturday, November 15th at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center.

Switching to Drexel, Syracuse is 4-1 all-time against the Dragons. The Orange have played Drexel five times since 1996, most recently during the 2021-22 season (a 75-60 win for ‘Cuse).

Last season, Drexel finished 18-15 overall and 9-9 in the Coastal Athletic Association.

Per Miller, this matchup will be part of a neutral-site doubleheader that’s taking place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philly. Syracuse’s game versus Drexel is on Saturday, November 15th.

With these developments, Syracuse is inching closer to finalizing its full non-conference schedule for the 2025-26 season. Keep in mind that the Orange will be filling additional slots for this coming year because of the ACC’s decision to switch to an 18-game conference schedule.

So far in the non-con schedule, Syracuse is locked into home games versus Tennessee as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge, Mercyhurst and Binghamton. It will also play neutral-site games versus Drexel and three unknown opponents as part of the 2025 Players Era Festival.

We’ll be sure to keep you posted as more scheduling news is released.
