Pretty good rookie season for JG3
As Syracuse Orange basketball fans prepare for summer, we try and catch up on Orange alumni.
Former guard Joe Girard had an outstanding rookie campaign for Kedainiai Nevezis in the LKL, Lithuania’s top league. Girard led the league in scoring with an average of 20.9 points per game on 45.6% shooting. That was over one point per game ahead of former Wake Forest guard Brandon Childress. JG3 shot 41.5% from 3 and 91.2% from the foul line while averaging 3.1 assists per game.

Kedainiai Nevezis struggled to a 9th place finish the 10-team league, but Girard showed he should be able to carve out a nice international career after he spent four seasons with Syracuse and one year with Clemson.
Could we see JG3 reunited with Buddy Boeheim in TBT this summer or will he get another look in NBA Summer League? We’ll keep you updated on Boeheim’s Army roster additions.
