Syracuse Football’s Late 2022 National Signing Day

February 8, 2022 by Orange Fizz

Happy National Signing Day! Syracuse Football already signed 12 players on the Early National Signing Day back in December. That one is usually more active, but today’s late window also brought in some serious talent. The Orange landed eight more players, some are high school prospects and others are transfers.

Most of the players that signed on the dotted line today, we already knew were coming and Orange Fizz has already covered. So, check out who is joining SU and click the links below to read up about all the new Orange players.

Kevin Jobity – DL

Kevin Jobity is a local product, coming from Buffalo, NY. He’s a 6-foot-4, 250 lbs. defensive lineman who doesn’t have a recruiting ranking. Jobity seems like a project, rather than an instant contributor.

Greg Delaine – CB

Greg Delaine originally committed to Georgia Tech back in October, but decommitted in February to sign with Syracuse. The three-star cornerback held nine scholarship offers including Iowa State, UCF and Wake Forest. He’s a solid prospect that could crack the rotation, but SU already has a pretty packed secondary room. Delaine might need to wait a year or two.

Rated as one of the top-50 corners in the #NSD2022 class by ESPN, @delaine_gregory is officially Orange. 🍊✍ pic.twitter.com/iuwn5VCCeP

Francois Nolton – DE

Francois Nolton is the best recruit in the class of 2022 for Syracuse. The Miami-native is a four-star defensive end that had offers from Alabama, Florida, Auburn, and more. The Orange defensive line has a lot of gaps next season, giving Nolton an opportunity to come in and play immediately.

Another BIG TIME addition since the last signing day.

Alijah Clark – DB

Alijah Clark spent one year at Rutgers before deciding to meet back up with his high school teammate, Duce Chestnut, at Syracuse. The defensive back was a higher prospect than Chestnut, and we all know how good Duce was this past season. So, all signs point to Clark making an impact immediately.

From Camden to ‘Cuse to join his former teammate.

Welcome home, @cinco_agent. The transfer is officially Orange. pic.twitter.com/7HlTAEppKQ

Dan Villari – QB

Dan Villari has been compared to Taysom Hill. He’s an athletic quarterback from New York who was a former three-star prospect. He spent two seasons at Michigan, a school that knows how to develop quarterbacks. Can he take the starting spot from Garrett Shrader? Probably not, but he can definitely fight for it.

Let us officially welcome Dan home. pic.twitter.com/ltamTJWpid

CJ Hayes – WR

CJ Hayes is Syracuse’s prize transfer. The graduate student didn’t put up flashy numbers at Michigan State, but he’s 6-foot-2, 205 lbs. and has a massive frame. He’s a big target on the outside and fills a role that SU desperately needs.

A graduate from Michigan State, WR CJ Hayes joins the Orange for 2022. He is also already on campus.

Juwaun Price – RB

Juwaun Price is an athletic running back that could fight for the RB2 position behind Sean Tucker. He spent three years, but only played one season, at New Mexico State. Last year he rushed for 692 yards and ten touchdowns. He is also a talented kick returner.

Bralyn Oliver – DB

Bralyn Oliver is a former three-star recruit that spent a season at Louisville and now comes to Syracuse as an uber athletic and extremely lengthy defensive back. Despite many talented players in the secondary, Oliver has a good shot at cracking the rotation this upcoming season.

They’ve been on campus for 2 weeks, but #NSD2022 is the perfect day to 𝓸𝓯𝓯𝓲𝓬𝓲𝓪𝓵𝓵𝔂 welcome our transfer additions.
