Even Florida is not safe from Fran’s recruiting raids.
The Syracuse Orange continue to dip into the recruiting oasis of the South, this time grabbing a Top-50 National prospect from the Sunshine State. Izayia Williams, an On3 4-star Safety/Outside Linebacker, verbally committed to ‘Cuse Monday:

Williams was one of several Florida 4-stars to visit campus this past weekend. The 6’1”, 215 lbs. Tavares High School sophomore also had offers from Iowa State, Florida A&M, Louisville, Ole Miss, USF, and Western Kentucky, as well as interest from the University of Florida and UCF.
Fran Brown now has a pair of 2026 commits under his belt – the other being Demetres Samuel, also from Florida. The Orange just picked up a 2025 OL recruit as well.
