The Syracuse Orange picked up another 2026 commitment on Friday evening.
Virginia athlete Cameron Hairston-Taylor of Roanoke, Virginia became the 28th verbal commit in the class. The 6’ 180 lb wide receiver/defensive back chose the Orange over South Carolina, Louisville, Virginia Tech and Appalachian State.
We are going up top with it! The commitment was successful! Shout out to the entire @CuseFootball @FranBrownCuse @Coach_Stork

He’s ranked as three-star and listed as a top-20 recruit in Virginia and top-50 athlete in the 2026 class. Like a lot of recent skill position recruits, Hairston-Taylor is a standout track and field athlete too. Last year he was a Virginia state champion in the 55m dash and long jump and he’ll bring that speed to the Dome in 2026.
Fran Brown’s staff has a type on the outside and that’s tall and fast and Hairston-Taylor fits that bill. Syracuse’s 2026 class is now ranked 21st by 247 and 33rd by On3. Here’s a look at Hairston-Taylor
