Fran beats The Hoodie
While the Syracuse Orange are trying to figure out their quarterback for 2025, Fran Brown landed a commitment for a future when Zaid Lott announced he will join the Orange in 2026.

Lott is a 6’3” quarterback for Providence Day School in Charlotte. He was previously committed to North Carolina, but switched after his visit to Syracuse over the weekend. He’s ranked as a three-star recruit and is a top-60 QB in the class by On3 and 247. Lott also had offers from Boston College, Florida State, NC State and Virginia Tech.
With this commitment, 247 lists the Syracuse 2026 class 13th in the country and 4th in the ACC. We’ll see if The Franchise and The Hoodie square off again on the recruiting trail, but this first round goes to Fran.
