Fran Brown adds another of his former players
The Syracuse Orange continue to add to the 2024 roster as former Louisville and Georgia cornerback Marcus Washington announced he’ll be joining the ‘Cuse next season.
The 6’1” 200 pound cornerback played one season at both Georgia and Louisville and saw most of his action on special teams. Coming out of high school, Washington was a four-star recruit who ranked in the top 20 in Georgia and top 150 in the country.
He was recruited to Georgia by Fran Brown and now the duo will be reunited with the Orange. Some of Washington’s other offers coming out of high school were LSU, Florida State and Oregon.
With several Syracuse defensive backs draft eligible next spring, Washington could provide depth and special teams play next fall then compete to take over a larger role in 2025.
