The 6’1” 195 pound Peal played in four games last season for Georgia in a reserve role. He saw snaps at both safety positions and on special teams, but he’s listed as a corner on transfer portal lists. He only played one game for the Bulldogs in 2023, so he’ll have three years of eligibility left.
Peal was a four-star recruit out of Charlotte, NC and was listed as a top 25 corner in the 2023 class. He chose Georgia over schools such as Michigan, Penn State, Auburn and NC State and now he joins Fran Brown again with the Orange.
We’ll have to see where Peal slots in when training camp opens, but it’s another highly regarded prospect joining the Syracuse roster this summer as Fran Brown’s staff continues to mine the transfer portal for gems.
Here’s a breakdown of Peal from his commitment season.
