One of the largest gambling services unveiled its over-under win totals for the Syracuse Orange and the rest of the Power 4 Conferences for the upcoming season. The initial result shows coach Fran Brown and the Orange will certainly have a tough road ahead.
Syracuse will enter the 2025 season with an over-under win total of 5.5 wins, according to FanDuel who released those win total lines on Wednesday.
Looking at the entire 17-team ACC, the Orange’s 5.5 wins on paper would rank tied for 12th along with Wake Forest, Virginia, Pittsburgh and Boston College in the conference as things stand right now. Clemson leads the way with an over-under total of 9.5 wins, followed by SMU, Miami (FL) and Louisville at 8.5 wins.

Syracuse enters the 2025 season with arguably the toughest schedule in the ACC and one of the most difficult among all P4 teams, at least on paper.
The Orange will open the year in Atlanta against Tennessee (over-under of 9.5 wins). Syracuse’s home games are against UConn, Colgate, Duke, Pittsburgh, UNC and Boston College. Road matchups in 2025 feature Clemson, SMU, Georgia Tech, Miami (FL) and Notre Dame (over-under of 10.5 wins).
Just using the over-under lines, the FanDuel odds certainly remind fans especially of how difficult the road slate will be for Syracuse. All of the Orange’s road and neutral-site opponents sit with over-under win totals between 7.5 and 10.5.
The key for the Orange will have to be defending the Dome if the team looks to hit the over and reach bowl eligibility. Syracuse’s four ACC games are against programs between a 5.5. and 6.5 over-under win total. 2025 will be defined by how well (or poor) Syracuse does in its home games.
In the way-too-early FanDuel odds, Clemson at +240 is the favorite to win the ACC in 2025. Miami (+280), SMU (+500), Louisville (+500) and Georgia Tech (+1500) round out the top-five. Syracuse sits at +6000 to win the conference.
Last year, Syracuse entered the 2024 season with an over-under win total of 6.5 wins. It would go on to finish the year 10-3 overall and 5-3 in the ACC, capping off coach Brown’s first year at the helm with a win in the DIRECTV Holiday Bowl.
