Things seem great in Chapel Hill
It’s tough for a lot of other fanbases that their school doesn’t get the same benefit that the Syracuse Orange get…..having the best primary color in all of college sports.
Mike Lombardi, UNC’s GM, went on ACCN and said “look I know we wear Carolina blue and it looks like a soft color but we’re gonna get tougher…”

You have to love when someone with no ties to a school comes in and makes it know that they have no respect for tradition. I mean can you imagine if that happened with Syracuse and some of the traditional looks fans have come to associate with the athletic programs…oh wait we can.

As we have reminded you for years around here, there is no reason why Syracuse should run away from using their primary color often when it comes to uniforms and branding. Tweaks and updates are fine. Alternates can be fun, but thankfully the current Orange leaders have not worried about colors embodying toughness.
It’s your identity UNC. If you want to convey more toughness maybe you should think about dropping your mascot. Perhaps you switch to a pair of argyle socks. It’s not a bad-ass Orange but hey maybe you could add a cut-off hoodie over the top to give just the right amount of gruffness.
