Syracuse women’s lacrosse attacker Olivia Adamson is out for the rest of the 2025 season with a lower-body injury, the program announced Friday. Adamson totaled a team-high 16 points through three games before missing the last two.
After playing nearly every minute through SU’s first three matchups, she was inactive against No. 2 UNC. In the following game against No. 3 Northwestern, Adamson was ruled as “unavailable” pregame by an SU Athletics spokesperson and then later by Syracuse head coach Kayla Treanor. A senior in 2025, Adamson created a lethal duo with Emma Ward on the attack.
Adamson was named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List and All-ACC Team in the preseason.
In her freshman year in 2022, she played a smaller role but still tallied 40 points. The next year, Adamson helped fill the void on the draw control when Kate Mashewske went down with an injury. She notched 107 draw wins and 51 points, including a six-point outing against James Madison in the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals.
Her role elevated as a junior, taking over a starting role following the graduations of Megan Carney and Meaghan Tyrrell. Adamson ranked second on the team in points (83) and goals (58), pushing the Orange to their second consecutive Final Four.
Without Adamson, the Orange have scored a combined 16 goals across two games.
