Good new for the former undrafted free agent.
While Jerami Grant’s big signing with the Detroit Pistons grabbed the headlines for Syracuse Orange NBA free agents, there’s still other news out there around former SU players. On Monday, we got some around Oshae Brissett:
Per league sources: The Toronto Raptors have signed Oshae Brissett to a multi-year contract. Toronto has also signed second round pick Jalen Harris to a Two-Way contract.

As Yahoo’s Keith Smith reports, the Toronto Raptors have signed the former Orange forward to a two-year deal. No financial details are available at this time, but over at Raptors HQ, they seem to believe that Brissett is the favorite to be the team’s 15th man on the roster. That’s great news for the former undrafted free agent, who averaged 1.9 points per game in 19 contests last season.
Considering the initial questions around Brissett’s NBA staying power, it’s a great sign for him that Toronto’s willing to invest in a multi-year deal. While it was great for Oshae to be playing for his hometown team last season, he’ll notably be spending more time in Tampa for 2020-21 — as the Raptors will at least start the year playing home games there given Canadian travel restrictions related to COVID-19.
Congrats to Oshae for getting a new contract! And looking forward to seeing him suit up for
Toronto Tampa Bay.
