In a stunning turn of events, Ohio State transfer Kyle McCord has removed Nebraska from his list of suitors. This decision was made after his visit with the Cornhuskers on Monday.
So, where could McCord end up for the 2024 season? Apparently, we shouldn’t dismiss a certain ACC school.
According to Tom Loy of 247Sports, Syracuse could be a landing spot for McCord.
“I’m told to keep a very close eye on #Syracuse and Kyle McCord,” Loy wrote on X, Twitter.

McCord, a former four-star recruit from St. Joseph’s, would be closer to home if he chooses Syracuse. However, there’s some uncertainty surrounding the program.
A few weeks ago, Syracuse hired Fran Brown as its new head coach. He was the defensive backs coach for Georgia from 2022-2023.
Perhaps Brown’s connection to the East Coast will intrigue McCord, who grew up in Philadelphia.
One thing for sure is that McCord would elevate Syracuse’s quarterback room. He finished this season with 3,170 passing yards, 24 touchdowns and six interceptions.
