A key defensive piece hoping to make a difference in the trenches.

It’s time to start preparing for the 2025 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a look at each Syracuse player as we get to know a lot of new faces for Year 2 of the Fran Brown Era.

Up next is…

Name: Kevin Jobity Jr.

Position: Defensive Line

Year: Senior

Height: 6’4”

Weight: 277 lbs.

Hometown: Buffalo, NY

High School/Previous College: Maryvale High School

2024 stats: 10 tackles (4 solo) and 0.5 sacks in five games (all as a starter). Missed most of the season due to injury.

2025 projections: Among Syracuse’s veteran players, Jobity Jr. easily ranks as one of the most important “swing” guys for 2025. Losing him led to a big hole in the trenches for Syracuse on defense. Considering the Orange also lost some defensive talent whether to graduation or the portal, Jobity is likely primed for a starting role and hopefully in position to make that next leap forward in that expanded role.

How’d he get here?: Committed to the Orange in 2022 over offers from 20 other programs, a super-majority of which are in the Northeast. The notable schools who gave him offers: Army, Harvard, Holy Cross, Princeton, Villanova and Yale.

What’d recruiting sites say?: Three-star recruit on 247Sports and ESPN.

Winners Get Washed: Dr. Squatch — based on his own personal motivation and desire to get even better, we can safely safe Jobity wants to “feel like a man, smell like a champion.”

Interesting nugget o’interest: Jobity’s father, Kevin, played four seasons at center for Niagara University, peaking with averages of 16.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 2.0 blocks per game. Kevin went on to continue his basketball career overseas.

Let’s get a look at ya: Cue the Hudl tape from Jobity’s senior year of high school:
