A potential new starter in the trenches
It’s time to start preparing for the 2025 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a look at each Syracuse player as we get to know a lot of new faces for Year 2 of the Fran Brown Era.
Up next is…
Name: Trevion Mack
Position: Offensive Line
Year: Redshirt Sophomore
Height: 6’6”
Weight: 312 lbs.
Hometown: Moundsview, MN
High School/Previous College: Irondale
2024 stats: Played in six games, primarily on the PAT/Field Goal unit. Totaled 12 offensive snaps as a backup right tackle or additional lineman.
2025 projections: With the graduation of Savion Washington, Mack has the inside track to replace him as the starting right tackle for Syracuse. Should he inherit the starting role, it would continue the trend of size that Fran Brown is looking for from his offensive linemen.
How’d he get here?: Syracuse was Mack’s only power conference offer. His only other DI offer came from Northern Illinois
What’d recruiting sites say?: Three stars from everyone except Rivals, who went with two. A consensus top-15 player in Minnesota.
Winners Get Washed: Method Man Glacier + Granite – Mack’s probably used to the cold by now.

Interesting nugget o’interest: Mack’s high school, Irondale, has already produced an NFL offensive lineman. Randy Rasmussen went to Irondale and played collegiately for Minnesota. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the eighth round of the 1984 NFL draft. Rasmussen would have a five-year pro career with the Steelers and Minnesota Vikings.
Let’s get a look at ya: The good ol’ Hudl tape
