Returned from the portal to compete for a role on the o-line
It’s time to start preparing for the 2025 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a look at each Syracuse player as we get to know a lot of new faces for Year 2 of the Fran Brown Era.
Up next is…
Name: Joshua Miller
Position: Offensive line
Year: Redshirt Sophomore
Height: 6’4”
Weight: 303 lbs.
Hometown: Chesterfield, VA
High School/Previous College: Life Christian Academy/Georgia
2024 stats: Appeared in the Holy Cross game
2025 projections: Miller entered and then exited the transfer portal in December. In the spring, he was in the mix for reps at guard, but we’ll have to see how the incoming transfers shake things up in August.
How’d he get here?: Committed to Georgia over a long list of offers including ones from Penn State, Clemson, and North Carolina. Transferred to Syracuse after Fran Brown was hired.
What’d recruiting sites say?: Three stars. Was ranked as a top 70 interior offensive lineman in his class.
Winners Get Washed: Miller Harris Tea Tonique Body Wash “awakens your body and mind to the infinite possibilities of the day ahead.” sounds like it fits D.A.R.T.

Interesting nugget o’interest: Josh’s high school was founded in 1987, which means we’re surprised it’s not named McPherson or MacPherson Academy
