Another player looking to crack the offensive line two-deep
It’s time to start preparing for the 2024 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a look at each Syracuse player as we get to know a lot of new faces to kick off the Fran Brown Era
Up next is….
Name: Lysander Moeolo
Position: Offensive Line
Year: Redshirt Junior
Height: 6’6
Weight: 360 lbs
Hometown: Vaitogi, American Samoa
High School: Timberlane
Previous School: Navarro College (JUCO)
2023 stats:
Took a redshirt year after arriving from Navarro.
2024 projections:
It’s anyone’s guess how the new offensive line will shake out, but Moeolo fits the size profile that Fran Brown seems to target for the position group. With experience and three years in a college strength program, Moeolo could compete for one of the tackle positions.
How’d he get here?: Other offers included Colorado State, Hawaii and Georgia Southern
What’d recruiting sites say?: Three stars all around. Was considered a top 16 OT in his JUCO class by On3, 247 and ESPN
Interesting nugget o’interest: Vaitogi is known for the legend of the Turtle and Shark, a part of American Samoan folklore
Let’s get a look at ya: Let’s check that JUCO tape
