The Bama transfers looks to wreck havoc in his second year with the program
It’s time to start preparing for the 2024 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a look at each Syracuse player as we get to know a lot of new faces to kick off the Fran Brown Era
Up next is….
Name: Braylen Ingraham
Position: Defensive Line
Year: Redshirt Senior
Height: 6’4”
Weight: 301 lbs.
Hometown: Fort Lauderdale, FL
High School: St. Thomas Aquinas
Prev School: Alabama
2023 stats: Played in all 13 games last season, recording 16 total tackles and three tackles for loss.
2024 projections: Ingraham continues to project as a valuable backup defensive lineman. Whether he lines up on the inside or on the edge, he’ll prove to be a decent option if Elijah Robinson continues the recent collegiate trend of rotating the defensive live often in drives.
How’d he get here?: Transferred from Alabama on December 12, 2022.
What’d recruiting sites say?: Four stars out of high school, three stars in the transfer portal.
Money quote: Ingraham spoke of Syracuse’s defensive line rotation last season (via Emily Leiker, Syracuse.com):
“I think it really helps,” Ingraham said of how he and his peers are being rotated. “It keeps our legs fresh. I won’t be as tired ‘cause I know I’m going to get a sub.”

Interesting nugget o’interest: The reason Ingraham transferred from Alabama is because he medically retired from the Crimson Tide after tearing his ACL and lateral meniscus in 2021.
