It’s time to start preparing for the 2025 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a look ateach Syracuse player as we get to know a lot of new faces for Year 2 of the Fran Brown Era.

Name: Greg Delaine
Position: Defensive Back
Year: Redshirt Junior
Height: 6’0”
Weight: 174 lbs.
Hometown: Fort Myers, Florida
High School: Fort Myers
2024 stats: Appeared in 10 games at cornerback, recording six tackles, a tackle for loss, and two pass breakups.
2025 projections: Delaine has a chance to start at one of the corner positions in Week 1. He will most likely have to beat out sophomore Davien Kerr in camp, so we will revisit this battle later in August.
How’d he get here?: Initially committed to Georgia Tech, but flipped to the Orange on National Signing Day. He also had offers from Coastal Carolina, Iowa State, Mississippi State, Toledo, UCF and Utah.
What’d recruiting sites say?: Four stars from ESPN, three from 247 Sports and Rivals.
Winners Get Washed: Totally Transforming Mind Body Wash — This must of been Delaine’s go-to in high school, causing him to flip from the Yellow Jackets to the good guys.
