Hometown: Elizabeth, New Jersey
High School: Elizabeth
2024 stats: McDaniels played in four games last season including some extended action in the Holiday Bowl where he had a tackle for loss and pass breakup.
2025 projections: He will be in contention for a starting spot in the secondary and should significant action in his second season. It’s possible that McDaniels could be playing snaps on the outside or used in the slot this Fall.
How’d he get here?: McDaniel’s only offer came from Syracus.
What’d recruiting sites say?: McDaniel’s received a 3-star rating from ESPN, On3, 247, and Rivals. He was considered a ‘hidden-gem,’ and one of the top-25 ranked prospects from New Jersey according to 247

Winners Get Washed: Duke Cannon Heavy Grit– McDaniels shared that it was academics in his first year of high school that hurt him from being recruited. He had to bear down and get back on track to get a shot, so that’s some grit in action.
Interesting nugget: Elizabeth has produced some NBA legends as the birthplace of Rick Barry, Hubie Brown and Kyrie Irving
