The Texas QB has an extremely impressive High School resume
It’s time to start preparing for the 2025 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a look at each Syracuse player as we get to know a lot of new faces for Year 2 of the Fran Brown Era.
Up next is…
Name: Luke Carney
Position: QB
Class: Incoming Freshman
Height: 6’2
Weight: 205
Hometown: Mesquite, Texas
High School: Dallas Christian School
2024 Stats: Threw for 2,627 yards and 20 TDs, and ran for 1,076 yards and 21 TDs. Only threw 3 INTs all year. Named a Blue Grey All-American. Led Dallas Christian to their 4th straight state championship.
2025 Projections: Carney will likely find it difficult to get playing time in his freshman year behind Steve Angeli and Rickie Collins in the Quarterback room. It seems likely that he will end up redshirting this season for the Orange, and learning under two more experienced options under center.
How’d he get here?: Carney picked the Orange over many schools, including BYU, Arkansas, Boston College, and Georgia Tech.
What’d recruiting sites say?: 3 stars across the board.
Winners Get Washed:
This $125, 128 fl oz behemoth of a body wash, because we must give only the biggest to a 4-time Texas State Champion.
