A full season of Ross-Simmons should be fun to watch
It’s time to start preparing for the 2025 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a look at each Syracuse player as we get to know a lot of new faces for Year 2 of the Fran Brown Era.
Up next is…
Name: Justus Ross-Simmons
Position: Wide Receiver
Year: Senior
Height: 6’3”
Hometown: Rochester, NY
High School/Previous College: Inglewood (CA)/Colorado State
2024 stats: Played 10, but was limited early in the season due to injury. Ended the year with nine catches for 202 yards and two touchdowns.
2025 projections: After 1,148 yards at Colorado State, many Syracuse fans were excited to see Ross-Simmons in an Orange uniform. However, an injury meant that his production was limited throughout the season. He’s in line to be one of the top receiving targets for Syracuse this season. If he’s healthy, Ross-Simmons could be in line for a great year.
How’d he get here?: Ross-Simmons entered the transfer portal during the spring window of 2024. One of the reasons he joined the Orange was to be closer to his dad and family.
What’d recruiting sites say?: Consensus three-star transfer. Three stars by 247Sports and ESPN as a recruit.
Winners Get Washed: Dove Men+Care 3N1 Recharge With Menthol Body Wash – No doubt Ross-Simmons is recharged and ready to burst out for the Orange.

Interesting nugget o’interest: Before his senior year of high school in California, Ross-Simmons did play at East High School in Rochester.
Let’s get a look at ya: His two touchdowns last season were crucial to a win over Virginia Tech.
