
Syracuse adds depth to its frontcourt with the addition of the Cincy transfer.
Cincinnati forward Tyler Betsey has committed to play for the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball program, as first reported by On3. Betsey, a 6-foot-8 forward, will be a sophomore in the fall.

Originally from Windsor, CT, Betsey was ranked as the No. 50 prospect in the 2024 class (On3). He committed to the Bearcats program over Alabama, Duke, Indiana, Kansas, TCU and UConn.
Betsey played in 33 games as a freshman for Wes Miller in 11.1 minutes per game. He averaged 3.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per game. Of his total shots, 72.3 percent came from beyond the arc. He made 32.1 percent of his shots from three as a freshman.
Betsey will join a frontcourt at Syracuse of Nate Kingz, Donnie Freeman, Sadiq White, William Kyle, Ibrahim Souare and Aaron Womack.
