Unfortunately the NFL lost a legend of the game this week.
Hall of Famer John Madden passed away on Tuesday. He was 85.
Madden was a pioneer. In a twist, he was for many football-related reasons.
First, the coach, then the video game guy, and sandwiched in between that was the broadcaster.
Madden covered many Buffalo games in his day. Back in 1996, he was on a call of Cowboys-Bills meeting and he and Pat Summerall took some time away from the contest to discuss one of best things western New York has to offer: The food.
