The Buffalo Bills added to their offensive line depth this afternoon, signing former Carolina Panthers guard/tackle Daryl Williams.
Williams agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Buffalo. He heads North after spending the last five seasons with Carolina, the team that drafted him in the fourth round out of Oklahoma back in 2015. Bills head coach Sean McDermott is familiar with Williams from his time as the Panthers’ defensive coordinator.
In Carolina, Williams played in 56 career games, making 41 starts. He missed nearly the entire 2018 campaign with a knee injury, but returned to play a key role for the Panthers in 2019. Last season, Williams played in all 16 games and started 12: five at left guard, four at left tackle and three at right guard.
Williams’ best pro season came in 2017, when he made second-team All-Pro. Williams started all 16 games at right tackle that season.
His versatility is clearly the best asset he brings to the Bills.
We’ve agreed to terms with G/T Daryl Williams.

In Buffalo, Williams joins a Bills team that has made the playoffs two of the last three seasons. Expectations may be even higher this fall.
With Tom Brady gone from New England, many pundits will pick the Bills to win the AFC East. The team has made a number of moves this offseason, including signing defensive end Mario Addison and cornerback Josh Norman and trading for wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
