Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs will no longer be teammates, but that might not be a bad thing for the Buffalo Bills.
Before the Bills traded Diggs to the Texans for a 2025 second-round pick, the All-Pro wide receiver threw shade at his quarterback.
It all started with ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III asking this question about the Bills: Is Stefon Diggs essential to Josh Allen’s success?
Griffin argued that Allen and Diggs are better together. He said, “If Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen stay together with the Buffalo Bills this year, their Championship window is WIDE OPEN.”
Someone responded to Griffin’s initial comment and said Diggs is not “essential” to Allen’s success.
On Tuesday night, Diggs replied, “You sure?”

In four seasons with the Bills, Diggs hauled in 445 passes for 5,372 yards and 37 touchdowns. There’s no question he was Allen’s top target.
That being said, Allen is one of the most electrifying players in the NFL due to his dual-threat capabilities. Even if his passing numbers take a hit this fall, he should be able to produce as a runner.
We’ll find out this fall just how essential Diggs was to Allen’s success.
