Stefon Diggs leads the Buffalo Bills into a Monday Night Football clash with the Denver Broncos. Before the game, the star wide receiver tested his Spanish.
Diggs approached John Sutcliffe, who was on the field for ESPN’s pre-game Spanish broadcast. He did his best to carry a conversation in the language.
“Como estas?” Sutcliffe asked.
“Lo siento,” Diggs replied.
“Monday Night Football?” the broadcaster responded.
“Si,” Diggs answered.
Diggs said “futbol americano” and “Bills mafia” before leaving. Here’s a look at the fun exchange:

Stopping Diggs has often proved just as challenging as learning a new language.Â
The 29-year-old has 70 receptions for 834 yards and seven touchdowns this season. He enters Monday night’s game fifth in receiving.
Diggs is on the verge of earning his fourth straight Pro Bowl invite, but the Bills haven’t enjoyed the same consistent success in 2023.
Despite sporting the NFL’s fourth-highest point differential (+80), the Bills are just 5-4 following Sunday’s 24-18 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Diggs has 400 more receiving yards than the team’s runner-up, Gabe Davis.
Along with trailing the Miami Dolphins by one game in the AFC East, the Bills are behind four other teams in the wild-card picture. They’d also let the 3-5 Broncos into the mix if they fall short Monday night at Highmark Stadium.
Denver scored tres points by kicking a field goal on the opening drive. The game is on ESPN and ABC.
