(Update: 12:07 p.m.): Speaking via press conference, Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier has confirmed that Milano, Klein and Lotulelei will not practice on Tuesday. He did not mention the reasoning being COVID-related but said the team will update the situation at some point later in the day.

Buffalo Bills wide receivers Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis were reportedly placed on a five-day COVID-19 safety protocol list on Monday. A follow-up report via ESPN‘s Adam Schefter indicates that defensive tackle Star Lotulelei will also join them on the designation:

The status all three are reportedly on is one specifically for unvaccinated players in the NFL.
Via the original report, Beasley and Davis tested negative for COVID-19 on Monday. However, the two were deemed to be in close contract with a training staff member on the Bills staff who did test positive for the virus.
Because they are not vaccinated, the players must now go into a safety protocol for five days while continually testing negative for COVID-19 before they can join their teammates once again.
Throughout the offseason, Beasley has consistently been against vaccinations, or in his words, the wideout has been
“pro choice” toward it. Lotulelei comes slightly as a surprise.
Lotulelei has been spotted on social media posts with a mask on in the Bills locker room throughout the summer. Still, the defender also opted out of the 2020 season due to the pandemic.
One could’ve speculated that taking such a stance to opt out would make Lotulelei open to the vaccine. But at this time, he has evidently not been vaccinated.
