This Sunday’s playoff game between the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers could be seriously impacted by the weather.
As of now, the weather forecast in Buffalo shows possible snow from Saturday through early Monday morning. The heaviest snow is projected to fall on Sunday, which is quite unfortunate for the Bills and Steelers since they’ll kick off that afternoon.
Bernie Rayno, chief video meteorologist for AccuWeather, provided some insight on just how brutal the weather could be at Orchard Park this weekend.
“Razor close call for the Steelers @ Buffalo Sunday afternoon. Looks like a foot of snow Saturday night into Sunday am in orchard then single LES band probably moves just to the south,” Rayno said. “This band will have 2-3″/hr rates, whiteouts a true blizzard and road closures. Tough decision coming.”

If there’s going to be heavy snow this Sunday, the Bills and Steelers will need to lean on their rushing attacks. That wouldn’t be a bad thing for either squad.
The Bills have really hit their stride over the past month because of Josh Allen and James Cook. They’ve been highly productive on the ground.
As for the Steelers, they’ve finally found a way to get Najee Harris going. He has racked up over 300 rushing yards in the last three games.
