Following yesterday’s loss to the Eagles, Buffalo Bills players Shaq Lawson and Jordan Phillips both said a Philadelphia fan made threatening remarks toward them and their families.
Phillips and Lawson confronted a group of fans sitting behind Buffalo’s bench during the game, with Lawson appearing to shove one of them.
According to a new report, the NFL is aware of threats reportedly made against the two players and their families.
“Sources tell us that the NFL and Stadium security reps were told about threats made by the fan towards the Bills players,” said 13WHAM’s Mike Catalana. “The fan remained in that spot for the rest of the game. On Instagram, Lawson said the fan began making the threats before the game but was not removed by security after the Bills brought it to their attention.
He also apologized for the shove, saying he “crossed a line” and it was a “mistake.”
Phillips, meanwhile, called the alleged threats from the fan “a line that shouldn’t be crossed.”
Philadelphia defeated Buffalo 37-34 in overtime.
