After spending three seasons with the team, the Buffalo Bills could trade former fourth-round pick Daquan Jones before the 2025 regular season. According to Pro Football Focus, they believe the Bills might move on from Jones because they’ve been able to reconstruct their entire defensive line during the offseason. The team got free agents Larry Ogunjobi and Michael Hoecht in free agency while drafting TJ Sanders and Deone Walker in the first four rounds of this year’s draft, so this could make Jones expendable. Originally selected in the 2014 NFL Draft, the former Penn State product spent most of his career with the Tennessee Titans, but had one of the most astonishing campaigns with the Bills during the 2023 season.
He put up an 82.9 PFF overall grade, but he’s coming off a down year last season. This might make the Bills either let him play out his last year in his deal this upcoming campaign or trade him. It should make sense for the Bills to consider sending him to a new team while he’s healthy, so that they could get something in return. Since Buffalo is probably infusing a youth energy in their trenches. These four teams may push for a possible trade this upcoming season.

Potential Next Teams
Los Angeles Chargers
Despite signing Da’Shawn Hand and re-signing Teair Tart, the Los Angeles Chargers have arguably one of the worst trenches in the league as of now. Jim Harbaugh wants a physical defense, but hasn’t made any strong trades to make that happen. The Bills would never send any of their talent to an AFC rival, but the Chargers could get Daquan Jones if he becomes available in free agency. He’s on the older side, but Harbaugh wants an old-school scheme, so he could be perfect for that job in Los Angeles.
Baltimore Ravens
Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens need a revamp in their defense, except for the linebacker unit. The trenches department could use an upgrade to help Nnamdi Madubuike pull off some ferocious plays to get after the quarterback. After losing Michael Pierce to retirement, John Jenkins can’t single-handedly save the interior, and someone like Jones could be an efficient help over Travis Jones and Broderick Washington.
Washington Commanders
The Commanders might’ve been able to upgrade the defense by signing Javon Kinlaw and Von Miller, but these two are past their prime, and they need someone who can keep up with Daron Payne in the trenches. After releasing Jonathan Allen this offseason, the team could use someone like Jones even in a rotational situation. He won’t change the defense overnight, but he does provide some type of potential upside.
Dallas Cowboys
While the team was able to extend Osa Odighizuwa this offseason to a long-term deal, the men next to him don’t seem promising, except for Dante Fowler. The Cowboys are already dealing with the Micah Parsons situation, so they need someone to fill the hole behind Solomon Thomas if he doesn’t live up to expectations. Jones is arguably a better defensive lineman than Thomas and could help Osa for at least the next two seasons.
